“Nile wave” is a creative free-standing exhibit complex presented by Dr. Ehab Ezzat in the “3rd International Biennale of Design - Saint-Etienne 2002”.Outcome of more than thirteen years of hard working and surveying in the Interior Design and Architecture field, it represents the concrete expression of the Designer’s philosophy and style.
Nile Wave
“Nile wave” occupies a surface of 900 m2 and consists of three main elements:
1. A creative silver-blue undulate partition which stands depending completely on the counterbalance of its mass on the floor thanks to its dynamic linear curvature (wave). With a length of 27m, an average height of 4m and an average thickness of 60cm, it contains 14 orange-coloured wooden spheres with a diameter of 108cm each, rotating around their vertical axes.Different kinds of products (flat, three-dimensional or digital) can be displayed by this unique system, either in the inner or on the outer side of each sphere.
2. A multimedia display unit supplied with two computers showing advertising materials about the exposed products.An especially-designed internet web site mirrors the same unique conceptual design in order to offer new means of e-Commerce. Some shelves have been incorporated to place brochures about the exposed products.
3. A resting double-sided seat made of Triplex glass designed with the same concept of the partition.
